Local Maine Art at Maplewood
Our practice strives every day to offer a professional, caring dental experience for our patients. We believe that a serene environment in the dental office setting can relax people while helping soothe the natural anxiety that many feel about visiting the dentist. As we remodeled and upgraded our office over the past year and a half, we wanted to create space to share local art with our patient family.
One of the most wonderful things about living and working in the greater Portland area is the diverse array of vibrant artists in our midst. We will be supporting local artists in the community while enhancing our patient experience by showcasing art in an ongoing rotation. This month, we have partnered with local Maine artist Dennis Poirier. Dennis is a plein air (paints outside) landscape painter, thus his work captures the natural beauty of coastal and southern Maine.
Ten of his paintings are on display throughout the Maplewood office. Each painting is labeled with the location where Dennis stood outside with his easel to paint. His work will be on display for the rest of the year. We hope you enjoy it – maybe you will even recognize a few familiar places!
